Housekeeper- Houston, Texas

A couple in River Oaks is seeking a professional Housekeeper to join their housekeeping team. The Housekeeper will be responsible for the detailed care and cleaning of the 20,000-square-foot home and will work closely with other members of the fully staffed household. 
Responsibilities:

• Travel to Maine in the summer for approximately three weeks to assist with household upkeep, cooking, laundry, and related support.
• Handle daily household cleaning, including making beds, changing sheets, cleaning the kitchen, washing dishes, wiping down counters, sweeping, vacuuming, and emptying trash and recycling.
• Perform meticulous laundry care and ironing.
• Execute regular deep-cleaning projects
• Establish and maintain a structured household maintenance schedule for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks.
• Monitor household inventory, restock supplies, and alert the employer when items are running low or repairs are needed.
• Run local errands, handle grocery shopping, and assist with party preparation as needed.
• Prepare and cook meals for the household as needed, with confidence handling everyday meal preparation.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Non-Smoker.

• Strong knowledge of caring for fine furnishings, delicate surfaces, high-end finishes, and silver.
• Excellent laundry and ironing skills.
• Must know how to cook meals and be comfortable preparing food for the household.
• Ability to travel in the summer for approximately three weeks.
• Availability to work one weekend per month.
• Comfort around birds and willingness to assist with basic pet care.
• Ability to identify issues and address them independently.
• Strong communication skills, good judgment, and a positive attitude.

 
Salary: $40 - 45 per hour 
 
Schedule:  Monday–Friday 9 AM – 5 PM (one weekend per month as part of the regular schedule and holidays as needed)
