House Manager/Butler - NYC

House Manager/Butler needed for NYC based Family. This position is a hybrid role and oversees service in the following areas: house management, personal assistance, steward/butler responsibilities. Candidates MUST have flexibility to travel to various properties.

Service Responsibilities:

  • Meal and tabletop service: provide meal set-up, serve meals (formal and informal), and bartending services for family and guests
  • Daily collaboration with chef on timing of meals and working closely with property manager to ensure smooth running of family’s daily calendar
  • Oversee wardrobe 
  • Coordinate seasonal moves to other properties and ensure easy transitions between residences for both family and staff
  • Home meetings: oversee meeting set up (Zoom call, Team call) and collaborate with assistants and Tech to ensure meetings run smoothly
  • Provide personal and concierge services to guests and support for activities/events
  • Events: work closely with Assistants on organizing and executing events at the property

 

House Manager Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that each residence has a consistent feel and that the team is up to date on the principal’s preferences
  • Ensure that homes are properly prepared and ready for the principal’s arrival 
  • Create and maintain current household manuals
  • Oversee inventory of household items,
  • Manage online accounts, i.e. Amazon, etc.
  • Shop for household items and run errands
  • Pet care 

 

Requirements: 

  • Excellent, verifiable references
  • 5+ years of similar experience
  • Flexibility to travel as needed
  • 24/7 connectivity 

Schedule: Full-Time

Salary: $DOE
