Private Chef- Scarsdale, NY
Our client family in Scarsdale, NY is looking for a creative, plant-based Private Chef to cook in their home 3 days a week. The chef will plan and prepare fresh, seasonal meals, stock the fridge for the week, and work closely with the family to create delicious, healthy menus. The family follows a largely plant-based lifestyle. The chef should be open to occasional weekend entertaining with notice.
Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare vibrant, plant-based meals for the family
Stock the fridge with pre-prepared meals and snacks for the week
Collaborate directly with the principals to create weekly menus tailored to preferences and dietary needs
Source all ingredients, including trips to local farmers markets and specialty purveyors
Occasionally assist with weekend entertaining (with prior notice)
Requirements/Qualifications:
Deep knowledge of vegan and vegetarian cooking, with an emphasis on seasonal and local ingredients
Warm, kind, and collaborative personality
Ability to anticipate the household’s culinary needs and adjust accordingly
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Excellent, verifiable references
Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
Salary: $500 - $700 per day
